A while back Gowett & I were talking and he asked me basically if I had ever been on ig.net when it was up. I'd heard years ago the fandom had more online and that question brought forth more conformation to that. Ig.net is oddly banned from the web archive, but not it's exact follow up. I peered at it's pages in the archive and saw the slow death it underwent . DiC actually had a lawyer call up it's owner at one point threatening about it ( this is before Cookie Jar bought the copyright ). The owner tried their best to keep it afloat for a long time and eventually it got hacked. It had a forum, so I'm guessing it acted as the predecessor to this place. Guys, I want to invite it's former admin here if they still have an interest in speaking up. If you know ( her I think ) buzz them with a friendly hello. Also anyone else who had an active account with IG Unlimited's predecessor.

wow! my sister and I were on there years ago back in early 2002 when we was first was able to get on the internet. my old screenname was "gadgetgirl16" and my sister was "tenchigirl15". I remember finding the site on a search engine called "overtune" (formally it was called goto.com before they changed the name) but it actually was a poplar forum site since this was before social media took over. that forum had A LOT of members, mostly from europe since the Gadgetinies were poplar at that time. but I often wonder what happened to the owner. we did chatted a little on MSN and ever since the site went down, he disappeared. (so did everybody else... sadly.) his name was Nathan and he was a very nice guy. I felt bad for him once when I found out for what happened to the site since he put a lot of work into it. that's how I actually found this forum, i was looking for if anybody had information or traces of the old IG.net. I'm so glad I found this one.

I remember visiting that site before it was gone. it makes me wonder if it was one of the first IG fan sites out there... there was a lot of information and images on there, plus a lot of very good fan fiction where i don't see anywhere else... sadly.

Now I know from which artist came that dark vs light angel piece. I've seen it before now but didn't know you'd done it. The rest are new to me. Um, the placement of the fan art here is a yes and no at the same time. Fitting considering it's connected to the lost site being discussed. Although it also easily belongs in the fan art section. I'm letting this slide since it goes hand in hand to topic.

Welcome, and don't worry about it . It was a yes and no thing. Those wallpapers do belong in this topic but also elsewhere.

I'm so glad that you found the remaining wallpapers from IG.net, I totally have forgotten about them until today. sad that wondermay.com is gone too. (I had 2 other IG wallpapers on there that I wish I still had the original files. *sigh*)
yeah, IG.net was a good place for the fandom around that time. I miss the good selection of fanfiction on that site, I remember there were some really good and heart touching stories from there, but sadly they will never be found anywhere else online after it was shut down.

Those are really neat wallpapers. I do remember seeing the "I will always Remember" and the "Life's a battle" ones. The space one kind of interests me because not only it has the Gadgetinis's artwork but also the 80's one as well. Do you still have the jpg of that 80's artwork of Spaceman Gadget and Penny? Or is that from the show? Just curious.

I used to put my fanart and made IG wallpapers on that site. it was a great hangout for IG fans at that time and it was a great place to chat and share your fandom stuff. here's some of my wallpapers for the site before they shut it down. I had to take a few of them from another wallpaper site because I couldn't get the original images back.

Yes yes, but I wasn't mentioning the Gadgetinis one, I was mentioning the 80's one. Here's the image from your wallpaper that I'm talking about. Sorry if I wasn't very clarified before.
