Sorry for only respond to this now. Been very busy with Inktober that I didn't have much time with the internet except for image references search.
Hm… for what I recall when an episode of the Gadgetinis series ended they showed the animated logo of Buena Vista so I'm sure Disney was still behind the series and the Last Case movie, but I can't be sure when they broke up with DiC, maybe around 2005-2006 probably?
It's quite alright, I know the month of October was busy for everyone including myself.
You do have a point, I looked into the DiC Entertainment Wiki and Gadgettinies Wiki and it seems like Buena Vista was the Distributor for the series, even though DiC became an independent company in 2000 after buying it back from Disney. (to me, that is very interesting) So, you are right, Disney still had a little part of it. but what gets my a bit confused is why they didn't air Gadget's Last Case on the Disney channel, but on Nickelodeon instead. Another thing too that I question about the Gadgetinies and why it was never shown here in the U.S. ... I guess that would be a mystery, unless somebody out there has more info.
Unfortunately for what I heard Snow White will also have a reboot, and something tells me this new Lady and the Tramp one will not be that good but I don't want to be that negative without watching it first. And apparently Little Mermaid will also have a reboot, they even introduced who will be the actress playing Ariel. But again I prefer to wait to see these reboots once their on the internet and then I'll see if they're good or not.
That's good to know. But I still wonder if they enjoyed the series, and the reason why I say this is that most of the time when an old animated series from the 70's, 80's and 90's were aired again most younger audiences would complain that they wanted their favorite animes. This actually happened years back when the original series and other cartoons that I enjoyed when I was younger were aired again on a Portuguese channel back at 2013-2015 (if I'm not wrong) but on Facebook other people were complaining that they wanted Naruto, Dragon Ball, Bleach, etc., which for me was a big let down because the Portuguese channels had to take down those old series just so those audiences could watch those anime because of money money money (must be funny in this rich men's world). Luckily, thanks to some Portuguese fans community were able to record some of the old series, including Gadget, and share the video files on the internet. It's risky due to copyrights, but very worth since most of those series didn't have VHS and DVD releases.
Oh thank goodness! I thought that because I got a little carried away with this you probably got kind of angry. That would be interesting them working together although I'm more hyped on watching something like Gadget catching by surprise that Penny was always in his missions solving them on his back and see what would be their reaction, something like Gadget scolding her or something like that which was something that I always something that I wanted to happen in the original series (sorry, I'm just a baaaaaad girl ). Oh, that's a very interesting article! I'm actually glad that Naruto was on the list too.
But yeah, I'm really crossing fingers with this new movie. I just hope it doesn't let us fans down on becoming another bad spin off.
Oh yes, that would be great on their part!

I personally don't mind the changes as long they are well written. Like I mentioned before there are some live-action reboots I like although I don't consider some of them perfect. I actually like the one that started it all, the 101 Dalmatians, maybe because I wasn't too fond to the animated one. I also like Maleficent, it has a different story that I actually appreciate due of liking that theme of a villain becoming a good guy, but I can see why people don't appreciate it because Maleficent is indeed a great Disney villain and making her a good guy is kind of bizarre. Cinderella was another remake I enjoyed as well because again I'm not that fond to the original one. I didn't find The Jungle Book bad either, it's not perfect but it's not bad either. As for Beauty and the Beast I only complain about Emma Watson playing as Belle because the rest I sort of liked it, but still I reter watch the original which is my second favorite Disney movie. Aladdin on the other hand was sort of a mixed feeling, I liked it but didn't liked it maybe because I'm too fond with the original one (not to mention Robbin Williams is the best Genie). And yesterday I watched the new Lion King and just like Aladdin it was also a mixed feeling for me but I do agree that watching real life animals with no emotion expressions can become tiring through out the entire film. I only haven't watched Dumbo yet although it has bad reviews but I still want to give it a watch.
That's curious too. I'm actually surprised that when the original series was being streamed on Twitch Andy Heyward, who was in the comment section to answer some questions, never spread anger about it being online otherwise the stream would be interrupted. And let's not forget the 2015 series it's owned by DHX media and maybe they are more pushy when it comes to copyrights, but it is indeed bizarre the original one not being taken down since they owned the series now. Maybe they just don't give a damn to the old series, who knows. But maybe it's a good thing otherwise it wouldn't be possible to rewatch the series unless you buy the DVD copies.
Same here. But I'll keep with my fingers crossed.
