I figured I'd create a thread for all my safe stuff and have it all in one place. I have an old habit of liking things all neatly in one location, so I guess if you want to see my crap feel free to just poke your head in here from time to time. I'll start with a recent piece I did. I wanted to do a simple winter pic. So here's Gadget and Prince wearing winter junk and drinking espresso shots of some description. (You know Prince and her coffee...) Basic mech pencil + ballpoint because my fineliners are still needing replacements. Digitally added colour with an online program since I still haven't installed my art stuff yet because I'm a lazy bum. And yes, I realised one of her hands is weird. Oh well.

Out of curiosity what program did you use for coloring? My only big success with digital coloring from scanned art is with a program that's outdated and forces massive editing for flattening in advance. Your work looks like it doesn't have forced flatting done. ... I've heard Photoshop can do this trick ... Elements sure can't, I know that much.

The fact that I'm actually having to say this makes me cringe, but... I used BeFunky (https://www.befunky.com/features/photo-editor/) and used the hue tool in paint mode to add the colour. Not ideal by any means, but it's going to have to do until I can get everything installed again.

Thanks for that info. I'll try and use it with a character sketch I did months back. Never posted the art only since I'm unhappy with the shot done so far to coloring it.

Aye, hopefully it works for you. I hate having to use it, but it's not too bad with regard to getting it finished to post without too much faff.
Quick graphite scribbling of MAD Agent Dick. I made him a little less beanpoley than usual in this one, but I just had to draw him. I blame my friend entirely for it, as she has developed a sudden crush on the guy. Haha.

It's good art but as for your friend, I am never going to understand how people can have crushes on fictional characters.

She's got quite a soft spot for him, so I drew her this: Did you use a charcoal pencil on this? I ask that because of how some of the shading looks.

Nah, no charcoal, I used a darker graphite and lined in black ink. Fun, but messy. My hand looked like I'd dipped it into a coal mine afterwards.

Based on a conversation with a friend of mine. *SHUDDER* --- This was one of those horrible 'WHAT IF' images people requested of me a while back. The scenario was 'what if Prince ended up with Nozzaire instead'. I can't help but feel weird about this one. Haha. Both graphite + black ballpoint due to me still not getting new fineliners because I'm a procrastinating git.

I feel outside this being a what if it would be better if expanded upon. My first thoughts on Nozzaire are to his canon personality. Very career driven and rightfully fearful of Gadget. Can't remember if there was ever an episode noting about him romancing anyone. Although here he still has reason to fear Gadget but for an entirely different reason than what happens in canon series.

Oh, do I feel dumb for not catching it originally when this was posted on DA, you drew Prince in a fairy costume.
