I'll admit, I have only seen a single episode of Gadget and the Gadgetinis myself, and personally I liked them. The only complaint I had was that I didn't like their voices (I'm not fond of Maurice Lamarche's Gadget voice, and two high-pitched versions was rather annoying.) I also wasn't fond on their introduction (more on that in the Brain's absence post.) I do like their character traits, I just wish they had been more differentiated and had a role other than "Brain replacement."
So, just as a question: Did you like the Gadgetinis? If so, can you think of a better way to include them?

I actually liked them True it was upset to me that Brain wasn't in the series anymore except on that episode and didn't wanted the robots in the series, but then I got used to them. Because I'm portuguese I saw the portuguese version so I wasn't on pair about the original dub. Only later on youtube I saw the original version and I was... okay with their voices. After all they are robots who look like Gadget but more experts. I like their brother relationship too, like Digit is Gadget with a sorta Penny brain, always finding the clues in a correct way with his gadgets and always correcting his brother Fidget telling him that he's a robot, and Fidget is also smart but more joyful, always thinking he can act like a human too (Pinocchio cliché XD).

I'm not sure which episode is the first. I first saw the series thanks to a cartoon viewing site, then months & months later bought a DVD set of it. The bought set gave a totally different order to the episodes. Why I don't know what to trust here is you know that cartoon viewing site likely isn't um approved for being there ...and neither for that matter is the DVD set. I have no beef against how they sound or even their existence considering some fans hate the bots. PolarStar voiced well how I think of them. As for a better way to include them, that's just how they'd best fit into the AU you're developing for your story. No clue how closely you're following what I'm doing. I know my way of throwing them in had people scratching their heads until I explained it them ( this has happened by phone & Skype ). Um, yeah Dirk & Finn whose names haven't even been mentioned yet outside comic script.

I have only watch one episode. It's not avaible where I live, and I found out you can get a high fine for YouTube pirate viewing! TnT I like that dynamic, too. The way I see it, they both are aspects of Gadget's personality. Digit is his sense of justice, and Fidget is his innocence.

That's what I get for having them not as robots in my version. Well minus going into what is currently being worked on, here is a snippet from "The Rogue and the Jackal". ------------ (this is taking place in a sci fi convention) -------- While he knew what the chief looked like. He only knew what he looked like in normal clothes and dress clothes. Currently he felt somewhat dumbfounded by the scene before him, and wasn't quite sure what to make of the people he was seeing. He felt embarrassed by this, but hoped this lack of proper detective judgment. A key part of his job as an inspector. Was something for the moment she wouldn't think too deeply on. Hopefully not a matter she'd laugh at him for new reasoning today over added to his not knowing at first what sort of place he was stepping into. "No, he isn't that skinny." Penny replied evenly. "What about the one dressed as the blue robot?" It felt like another stab in the dark as he ask the question. "Too short." Was Penny's slightly sounding bemused answer. "Then what about the one dressed as the orange robot near him?" He knew Penny wasn't capable of taking much more of this, as he asked the question. He knew she once in a while had answers he didn't, but if he didn't get the guess right with this last stab. She was just going to poke fun at him, and really leave him to ponder this alone. "You're kidding, likely a twin of the blue one. They're the same height," was her answer. --------- I'm eager to read your story when it's posted, and do hope you stick around here once you've finished your research.

I do plan on sticking around. While research is very important, this is mostly so I can air out ideas to people who will know what I'm talking about. This kind of thinking is fun for me.

When you mentioned Youtube pirate viewing you mean by downloading the episodes? Because that's not exactly necessary. You can see the episodes on youtube normally. Exactly

I just don't want to be fined because the poster was a pirate.

Well, there's this guy who has all the episodes: www.youtube.com/user/WatchtheBirdiesBut still, I'm kind of confused of what you're saying. Could you explain it better?

Copyright is very hard to enforce, so when you are caught, you are hit with painful punishments. One woman was caught downloading pirated music, and got a fine of around a million dollars total. I don't want my computer to be the 1 in a million caught and slapped with a ridiculous fine.

I liked them still perferred Brain myself and wish they went into more detail about it I mean whatever gadget did to brain must been very tramic for him to fake his own death. I liked the idea of penny being the gadgetinis mum more on that on tv troopes. It also shows again how smart she was

I liked the idea of penny being the gadgetinis mum more on that on tv troopes. It also shows again how smart she was I kind of like the idea that the Gadgetinis were originally ordinary robots who were made to act as bodyguards, but ended up developing personalities of their own. I would consider them members of the Gadget Family, though other than being brothers to each other, the relationship is rather unclear.
