On FF.net I got contacted by a member named "retro mania" wanting in request for me to write an Inspector Gadget fan fiction for them. This member, eager is a good sum up for how they write their PMs. This person told me the description of what they want. I stated I was the wrong person to be asking since my brand of humor doesn't match the goofiness which exists through out the canon content and most notability in the 2015 series.
This is the sum up idea Retro Mania presented to me:
"While being a test subject to Professor Von Slickstein's cloning booth, Penny turns into twins. In the following days after that, there are 3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,144,etc. Each 1,2,3,or 4 days the number of clones keep on increasing, and nobody tell which one is the real Penny. Chief Quimby believes that MAD Agents put a glitch virus in Slickstein's cloning booth. Now Gadget,Brain,Slickstein and Kayla have got to find away to solve the problem to the booth and get rid of the clones before the city will be crowded with Pennys."

Yeah, I got a message from them too, but I'm too busy with Dreamland Chronicles and ReInitiated to take up requests.

Now I'm interestingly confused! Are they asking to write a fan fiction about that so they can use it on the original series?

I have no idea. This person has been on FF.net for a long time and according to their profile, they've never written IG before. Looking at just search results on the site they like to request other authors to write for them. This covers a lot of different fandoms.

Indeed I mean if that person has an account why doesn't it write itself? I don't know, it just doesn't make sense.

Agreed.
Sure it's okay to get some help with proof reading, but it's wrong to ask someone to do a whole story for ya.

I got this message three times. At one point I mentioned I couldn't do it for free because someone had, at that point, commissioned me to write a Gravity Falls fanfic. He agreed to pay me, but I had to back out because I was overwhelmed. I recently was contacted again, but am still overwhelmed. Point being, though, he might not be as rude as he first comes across. He may not have a lot of social skills, but seems willing to work out a reasonable price (on Visa Giftcard). Considering it's very rare to get paid for what we do... it's kind of nice to see, honestly. Even if it's not the first thing he says out the gate. Just a thought.

Huh, I wonder what his motivation is beyond wanting to see his ideas written by another writer. Also while you aren't a member you are welcome to join this forum.
