I've been working away at compiling together a complete outline for the plot of Devil's Blood for a while now.
I feel so confident that this story will be made, I pretty much voiced as much to another the other day. Get this? Mr. Harris said he'd be willing to do work for me later on. I told him after the web comic of Iron and Steel, there was a fifth story that was going to be written but likely he wouldn't see that for a year.
First with Devil's Blood I worked out on the basic what MAD was up to and how that would be resolved in the end. ... A bothersome note to that plot. I really like what I came up with but how it gets resolved not intentional steps on the toes of a Hollywood movie I had not watched till after figuring out the resolution. How Inspector Gadget helps to save the day. I don't want to give up the idea simply because it has the air of something else I wasn't aware of at first. With 'And The Forge of Hate', I got forced to give up an idea in that story due to yet another film I didn't know details about at first. 'Captain America: Winter Solider' had me change a detail of when John, Alan, Terry, and Brain were investigating MAD's HQ, when they entered the abandoned lab. The computer was going to talk to them. This got changed to the lost Scolex agent talking to them. Guys, what will happen towards the end of Devil's Blood was not done to ape a film, I just had the idea hit me independent of the another story.
Outside the main plot I've figured out what is now a separate group of bad guys are up to. Louis, Terry, and Annie.
John and Jake, I intended from the start would be working together and that has made a lot of content spring up. To the point of it made me want to write Gadget Boy's origin outside this fifth coming story. But I still want to write more to his character not essentially needed to Devil's Blood. Where could it be fitted? I want to introduce Jake in the middle of crisis time, not before that. But I can very easy see a before happening with him. Details for him and even him interacting with Heather over the phone. Him being added to this AU has even changed Iron and Steel a little. What at first was a solid plan for later of Callen and her pals going after the main good guy group. John, Penny, Finn & Dirk. Now Callen makes a comment which swings into noting the not present character, originally not there at all.
Heck, Finch even has a role in the upcoming story, and oddly enough, inspired from a learning program I caught on the radio months ago. I've even figured a lite origin to him working for MAD. But how to fit this in?
Should more comic short stories be made to accommodate extra content?
