Ever have one of those?
Today for me felt like an odd repeat of awful events from years earlier, now changed.
Years back I worked for Domino's and the district boss put me on stand by after he hired some workers - cheap workers who basically replaced me. Months later when my second review started for applying for SSD, when I told the government employee I was employed with the pizza company, they told me record stated I'd been terminated from them months back. Yeah, I was not told I'd been let go. The cute thing was I was their best employee for what I did.
Today can be compared back to that. It started with giving up on my morning swim at the Y since the pool area was over crowded. When I started leaving, I was told to call the director since they'd heard bad things about me and she wanted a word with me.
I act friendly to everyone there and at least thought I was friends with it's aquatics director & one of the desk staff.
Over the phone the lady in charge ripped into me like I was the worst person you'd ever encounter. I insisted she talk to the friends I had on their staff since she herself had never actually met me. I never heard back on her talk to the people I thought I knew.
Later I started talking to the Y one town over asking if my membership was good there. They informed me my membership had expired today.
... That would explain why the lady in charge of the local Y told me I couldn't return unless I became a paying member. It wasn't how I treated others what was wrong, it was greed forcing me out. I joined the Y under full scholarship because I make so little.
