In late November the pain center I deal with, told me what would likely provide relief to two chronic cases hurting me. ... I'm not going to relay the full details. But I will say despite being familiar with something else the provider of the pain relief has done for me. I still felt the need to consult many people many in medical positions, if this was a good idea. Thing is this will be tapping into my spine and I have never had back surgery before. When everyone was saying they considered this a good idea and I had numerous questions answered, I agreed.
I went through and passed my psychiatric test, this is something the pain center said has to be done to discover if a person is truly a right candidate for this. It took nearly two weeks to discover after that if my insurance would allow it. Then it took just over a week for the nurse to call me to setup a test, to again discover if I can have this pain relief work for me. That is happening on the 18th, it's an outpatient surgery.
After seven days I have to report back to the doctor at the pain center dealing with me to tell her if the test worked. If it does, and I have a feeling it well. Then I go through a larger surgery. I suspect that will cause me a world of pain in recovery. On the 15th I'm sitting down with my pain center doctor to tell her about what I'm expecting. I am awful with recovery pain and sadly have allergies to most medications meant to relieve it.
