Okay so we've all kicked around the theory that Gadget isn't actually that dumb, well here is some more proof! That Gadget is in fact an educated man. (Thank you Ypestis for the screenshots) THERE RIGHT THERE! The nose is a little big but that is Gadget in a CAP AND GOWN!This episode is Weather In Tibet.BUT that is not all! In the episode Unhinged Gadget makes this face and remembers his "Old fraternity days". So yeah this "stupid" man not only went to college, he graduated! Butterfly will recall an interview with Quimby that states Gadget dropped out of high school. BUT if he dropped out, how could he go to college? Easy! He tested out. Gadget might have just been bored with public school or felt he wasn't learning anything. Now sure where else to go with this but feel free to chime in!

I honestly think that Gadget was a very well educated man due to all of the diplomas being displayed in his house in season 1. I honestly think he did graduated high school and joined the military since he knows how to fly a plane (and hardly land it, lol!) so would've surprise me that he had more than 2 years of college since it seems he did joined a fraternity. (I could imagine what went on when he was there, lol!) The "Interview with Quimby" was mostly canon anyway since it wasn't written by the original creators. However, in the chapter of the (Bibliothèque Rose) book seems to be the opposite than what we see here in season 1.

Quimby might be right after all. He JUST might be a genius. Or a genius trapped in a flipping idiot. I wanna hear more of you guy's thoughts~! <3

Or unless he hardly remembers anything from his past, so he just makes stuff up so he would make himself look "good" for his "reputation".

Can totally see that two but there are some photos in a time before photoshop so it's safe to assume there is a grain of truth in each of his lies and boasts.

I honestly doubt he's a lair when it comes to his education, unless he had to get his high school diploma later on in his 20's just to get somewhere. (I've been there and done that) so, just to think about it, he had to start somewhere to get on top to become a detective (police academy or even law school) ...even before he became a cyborg.

This all makes kind of sense, maybe he's just acting stupid just to confuse us. Also there's another episode that proves he's not stupid, "The Ruby", at the moment where he has to deal with the tiggers. I mean where was Brain when he was saving his ass by himself? Gadget fought them by using his intelligence, he didn't acted like a fool!

He's clearly doing SOMETHING right!

I agree! The man has clearly worked hard for what he has.

Most of the entire episode until the last few minutes before ending, and even that Penny was the one who figured out where the bomb was, Gadget almost took care of the mission all by himself, he didn't need much of Brain to figure out who the MAD agents were! Well… except that travesti guy.

And lets not forget the episode "MAD Trap" (one of my fav episodes) where he actually started to "connecting the dots" by looking up on the map of each location of a clue of each crime and trying to figure out on what is the "connection" between them. however Penny finishes it buy painting a copy of the map at her art class and finds out where the MAD agent is going to be next....
if Gadget didn't bring out the map when penny was there, she might've will have a hard time (or finding out another way) by "connecting the dots" to solve the crime.

I almost forgot about it too until I remembered that episode was one of the few where he actually had a chance to shine. however, I still think the episode "hunted castle" tops it all since he saves Penny and Brain from danger quite a few times.

I think Gadget would of figured it out himself(if he was 'ever' givin the damn opportunity, to freaking SHINE for once!!!!), but 'nooooo' we can't do that! We have to stick to formula and have Penny solve fucking everything! Cause Gadget, is 'suppose' to be too much of a damn 'retard'.. ..to figure THIS SHIT OUT!!!!! Freaking really!!!!! Meanwhile, the man's got allllll kinds diplomas, awards, trophies, tough man competition plaques!!!... and crap like that...ALLLLLLLL OVER HIS HOUSE!!!... I guess it's just for show!!… Yeah whatever!
