Many apologies for being so absent around here. Anyways… So I discovered thanks to the iAdelante - Gadgeto Blog! that Spain just launched a DVD box of the Spanish version of the complete serie of 80's Inspector Gadget, which it can be get on Amazon, El Corte English and Fnac (all .es). Here's the link of the post: adelante-gadgetoblog.blogspot.com/2019/12/inspector-gadget-la-serie-clasica.htmlFor what I understand it's like the French DVDs but in this case the languages it includes are Spanish and English (consider yourselves lucky ), and it also comes with 4 posters. For the looks of the product the artstyle it presents on the DVD covers might be different from the French ones and probably the posters too which I would like to see by myself though the websites that Dani (also known as BeagleGafapasta on Deviantart, who's the creator of the blog) pointed out don't have a lot of previews of the content asides of the box so I can't be that sure with my theory. However the DVDs are Zone 2 so if you ever are interested to get a copy you better have a DVD or a Blue-Ray reader that can read that zone, otherwise it might be worthless getting this. I wouldn't mind getting a copy of this but since I already have the French DVDs I can't tell if it is worth for me even if it has the English language. Of course as an IG collector myself I would get my hands on this but I prefer to play safe and save my money for now until someone shows more content about this product.

@butterflyblew86, by knowing you I presume you'll be the one getting a copy of this even if you have the French Collector Edition like me. If you do I hope you share later more of the content once you get it.

I actually saw this yesterday while I was on my ebay France searches, but I'm very glad you mentioned it on here and I found a copy on Amazon spain. (I bought it though the app) The reason why I wanted it is because of the posters. Once when it arrives, I'll give you the information about it, pictures of the posters and see if it would play on my old laptop dvd player/burner.

I really wanted to share this just so everyone else could be informed in case they didn't. That makes two of us, I also wanted to get it because of the posters, and I'm really curious about the artwork presented on the covers of the DVDs boxes, and also because it would be a way to have the English version on hand too although I already have the serie on a disk thanks to Youtube where I got them. I personally don't appreciate the Spanish version which I saw when the series was passing on a Spanish tv channel while I was on my summer vacations in Spain (youtube also has the episodes on that version), but eh… it doesn't hurt either having that version as well. But again because I already have the French DVDs I don't think this one is worth for me unless it's really to have the English version or just to have another IG collectable on my hands. Not to mention I haven't used much of my DVD reader mostly due to work, playing video games and watching videos of people who I follow on youtube. I sometimes want to to watch a movie while in bed but laziness beats me. Please do! That way it's easy for me to know if it's really worth getting a copy for myself or not.

Yeah, I do notice that there is a difference when it comes to DVD release, I have the Inspector Gadget mega set which came out somewhere in 2013 and it's alright, one thing I don't like about it is that the oringnal iconic DiC logos from the 1980s were replaced from DiC's 2008 logo and Cookie Jar, So they are not from the oringnal tapes and no bonus features, iys mainly "bare bones" release... But at least it's decent. But at least this collection edition DVD set is both in English and Spanish, so I'm curious about the difference between them both. They might be the same which is fine. Lol! (I'll be interesting to watch inspector gadget in Spanish, lol! The DVD set will be here in another 2 weeks (praying that nothing happens to it) so I'll keep an update on it. I can't wait to see the posters.

After waiting for about 2 weeks, the DVD set arrived this morning and I do like the artwork on this set because it's nice and basic. And for the bonus items that came with the set turns out to be 4 post cards! (instead of posters) so this is pretty cool!
I did play it on my old laptop DVD player, with a little effort since my graphics card on my laptop is going bad, it did seem to play it. however, since everything is in Spanish, it does have the English option in the menu, but it only plays the English episodes, the menu stays the same.
Over all, since I'm a collector, it is worth it on my end since I can switch both languages and the post cards are a nice touch!
Sometimes I just wish the English set had something like that for we collectors, but sadly we don't.

I'm glad it arrived safely! I'm impressed that two of the postcards (and here I was thinking they were posters after reading the text on the blog ) are actually with the original artwork that came around the 2000's while the other two seem they were made by a fan although they don't look bad at all. But I can't help feeling that when it comes to graphic production the French version did a better job trying to give effort to the artwork and the development of the DVDs and the box, the Spanish one seems more bootlegy for what it presents. Not that it's bad, I kind of like the fact they used the main characters separately for each DVD, reminds me of the title side of the old French DVD boxes, but again when it comes to the illustration presentation it could have been better, but that's just my opinion, at least they tried. Here's a photo I took of the title side of the old French DVD boxes I was talking about. I still don't know if I'm going to get a copy myself, I'm still not sure if it's worth for me. By the way @butterflyblew86, if you can and have time, could you scan everything just to at least have a copy of the artwork, please?

Curious… I just checked the !Adelante, Gadgeto Blogi and apparently Daniel already got the DVDs as well. But what's interesting is that the artwork of the covers of the three DVDs are different from the ones @butterflyblew86 shared with us. I wonder why's that? Here's the link in case you're interested to give it a read of his unboxing: adelante-gadgetoblog.blogspot.com/2019/12/inspector-gadget-la-serie-completa.html

(I had that feeling that I should've bought off ebay, but there might've been a big chance that I would've gotten the same thing). but oh well, at least I got the post cards. lol! kinda funny that the post cards are similar with the posters on their copy.

Yes, the postcards and the DVD box at least are the same, only the covers are different which is indeed weird. I wonder if each copy of the DVD box anyones buy have different covers instead of them being the same? But maybe what you said might be the reason too.

But maybe what you said might be the reason too. yeah, some companies do that because of budget costs when it comes to printing out copies, even when they are the last ones to print. I was guess I was the "lucky" one that got one of their "last budget cut" prints. lol!
