Ah, so you're reading Iron and Steel with gaps of information. That I'm sure can complicate your reading of it. For HAPPY like any other organization I've brought up with the exception of MAD. I pinned to together words which beyond fitting to the organization, could fit the acronym idea. This is where gaps in reading can cause problems later on. In the first story more than half way through is the first time John is ever called Inspector Gadget. How does that come up? Alan decides him being a cyborg is like he has superpowers. Him ( Alan ) having a cape which gives him the appearance he has powers. He's this AU's version of Corporal Capeman. I have to say I'm stunned & pleased you connected an odd set of dots for him because no one else has brought it up. Months before writing the first of these stories, I took a shot at writing Greatest American Hero as an AU remake. That only got one story but I wanted to write more. When figuring out Alan's character, when in deciding he'd actually have a technology driven cape giving him the appearance of having superpowers. Well the idea of how Ralph Hinkley dealt with normal life and abnormal, I transferred to Alan a little. I really enjoyed writing the comedy in the Dragon Con section of story two. Also there is a public knowledge of HAPPY but it's an extememly limited one. They may be for the most part underground literally & metaphorically but they aren't hidden. Terry guessed as an OC, yeah because of reading gap I get this misperception ( also you aren't the first to make this mistake ). It doesn't really come out until the third story he does have a canon representation. Here's the thing when writing story one I was not aware the MAD grunts had names since they weren't said in the show. That's why Terry and Louis name-wise just don't match up on canon notation. By the time I wrote the third, knowing it would have a focus on MAD, justified since there was more prompting beyond the name bit. I did at one point have characters present, looking like their canon selves and Terry was in that mix. When writing this going on with the character, I mildly revealed appearance details that give away he's agent Dick in canon. Plus in the same story another MAD agent refers to Terry's personality as such. John's personal built in phone minus number buttons, links to a communications satellite network run by HAPPY. That way when he makes or receives a call all that has to happen is an operator routing the communication right. The name Heyward is one of those pieces of trivia I mentioned. It comes from the name Andy Heyward. The guy was one of the big shots for DiC and one of the men who came up with Inspector Gadget in the first place.

HINKLEY AND MAXWELL haha. Saving the world... ALAN AND JOHN ummmmmm. And his niece........ Saving the world. LOL With Terry's case and the cases of others in my AU characters that in canon wouldn't have much to them, I've greatly expanded their definitions with distinct personalities & added background. There are character stories I still haven't produced yet that I have on backburner. I think a lot of that will be taking place after Iron and Steel is over and I'm doing more formal writing to Devil's Blood. These characters being so different but recognizable to a point I know can cause issue. As for John and wifi. It isn't built into him but his attaching computer has that ability of course. I know you've said you will only join a site if you feel you really enjoy it. While I don't know what is lacking to this place and again I'll state I'm all ears to suggestions. Being a member would give you the ability to go back to one of your earlier posts and edit in new content. I've noticed how you have one reply and then would like to quickly add more to it. Being able to edit would be a time saver. PS: At a guess if your posts to this point were in note to being a member, I'd say you'd likely be a Rookie right now which is the second rank in the system.

Yikes! That must be some freaky stuff if it's unsettling a MAD agent.

219 Yikes! That must be some freaky stuff if it's unsettling a MAD agent. I like to have it RAGE and MAD truly have their differences from one another. For example remember when in the workout area in the third story when Terry saw one of the lost Scolex agents, he thought something was wrong with himself ( in other words when he needed a shrink )? Well a RAGE agent wouldn't even blink at their appearance.

221 This isn't going to end peacefully. Nope, and just think they're in a small crowd. Also returning to what you said earlier. Why feel guilty? You seem to give every project you do a grand effort you get rewarded for.

Especially once I through myself into the new work, which I'm currently doing with The Exceptional Spider-Man.

On an offhand note, I've never watched Veronica Mars. I've heard of it, but never watched it. What was it like?
