Ever wonder if there was some relation connection between John "Inspector Gadget" Brown and Maxwell Smart?
I have an idea about that myself for my AU Gadget, but I want to see what others think.

Well, I know for sure that Gadget is somehow based off of Smart. The producers of the show were searching for voice actors, and sought after Don Adams, since he portrayed the character they were basing Gadget off of. They're bother clumsy, oblivious, and both of their chiefs can't stand them. Watch one episode of Get Smart, and it won't be hard to compare the two

Oh, yeah, I could definitely see them as long lost cousins.

If you think about it some stuff in gadget parodies smart in so many ways.

I like the idea of John, being a descendant of Smart. It almost makes 'too' much sense!

I also think the connection makes a cute form of sense. I was just ginning when reading it at the end of Assignment 7.4 .
