I'm a fan of 2D animation, but I think the style could have looked better for that. Shame this never came to pass though, I would have watched it out of curiosity.

The art style reminds me of Earthworm Jim for some reason. I always liked this one of Gadget with the newspaper: These promos were a hoax however. As for this being an actual series I'm not sure how I feel about it... I would be interested in seeing a pilot of it just to see this person's ideas in motion because it looks creative. The only big turn-off for me is the whole 'ghost catching' thing. It's difficult to wrap my head around how a show would make the leap from cyborgs and terrorist plots to... ghostbusting? How would Gadget's abilities aid in catching ghosts in any way? He can't handcuff a ghost, all of his gadgets would be worthless against an enemy that doesn't exist on the physical plane.

Looks cool! But if the animation style is just as sketchy-looking as the concept art, I'm not sure how I would feel about it.

I agree with you on the concept of the ghosts. I like the art, and probably would put my own work in a similar style, but I wouldn't want Gadget to be a Ghostbuster. That said, I would watch a new Ghostbusters cartoon. It would just have to be separate from the Gadget cartoon.

@owl: I personally love sketchy and rough animation so I'd be for it. Though it might turn some people away cause most prefer clean and polished animation. I think the raw unfinished look is a bit more... lively I guess?
@copter: Are you sure you want a new Ghostbusters cartoon? They can't even do the movies justice anymore. A new Ghostbusters cartoon would likely just be an animated Melissa McCarthy falling down and lame slap stick.

I mean going back to the original Real series, maybe with a more brushed up art style. I'm not into McCarthy's femme!Ray all that much.

What made the Real series amazing was the writing. If they could get writers like those that actually cared about telling a great story then it might be good. I have very little faith in that happening given the current state of the franchise. Steering this back on topic there's a sheet of Gadget expressions in this style as well: Sorry the resolution sucks, couldn't find a better version.

It almost reminds me of Butch Hartman's ( Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom) style of cartooning. But, if he were to write the 2009 series, it would have just been as hyper and immature as the '15 series.
