Over the last few days I've been watching this show for the first time, well at least episodes I haven't seen before. Graces what was DiC's animation budget like when it was in production? On the whole what I've watched so far says not much effort went into it. But say watch the second episode, and I'm not sure yet if others turned out like this given I haven't seen the whole series yet. The second episode looks very poorly done for having been done by professional animators. At least some later episodes don't look that way. But I've never even with amateur done animation seen what's being shown to be very misplaced on the screen objects. ( ex: when Gadget Boy has a gadget come out of his hat and it's not attached to the hat. )

The Gadget Boy series was by far, to me, the worst work DiC could ever done before of The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (even that I like that serie because of Robotnik's hilarious moments the episodes were so goofy that it wasn't so successful). The idea of the serie itself, showing Gadget in his child ages, was actually clever especially when the audience were the fans. The argument of the episodes was also decent. But the animation itself was so goddamn too poor. I actually have a VHS of the series, but it was when I was watching just one episode on youtube to find a good shot of Gadget Boy that I realized that the animation is so badly, which is kind of sad 'cause I think if it had a more decent animation, like a better design of the characters and a good background development, this series would have potential.

I thought the series was okay.
Although why couldn't dabble get the clue that agent heather would never be interested in him.
