I started working on this plot too long ago in my opinion. Graces, I want to at least get this story out before the next section of Iron and Steel is finished. Here's what's happening, I'm dividing my attention between many things. Normal offline chores & webcomic work come before it. Now when I'm done working on Iron and Steel way down the road, I'm going to dedicate the same amount of time I used to for the earlier prose based stories into Devil's Blood. This story is longer than Silver Light and B-Side Tracks. I doubt it will be as long as one of the IG focused ones, but it should have a nice word count in the end. I have to be careful how I write this story. Iron and Steel is set after it's events and you saw in flashback Dr. Hunter referencing it. Everything must line up right. Earlier today I wrote what I consider a complex scene. The start of the setup for when things go very south for RAGE. It's BS but I want it to not seem like total BS. I really thought out Sybil's actions and what Kein is thinking about in regards to them happening. Hopefully I get to write the formal draft of this story some time soon. I'm itching to finish this so you guys can connect it into the comic notes. Also not totally unconnected to this. I finally opened up casting call in the Comic Fury forum for B-Side Track's audio book version. At this point I've received one audition. Four interested people but only one has really stepped forward providing a sampling. Unless she's out preformed, I say it's going to have a good narrator.

I don't think I'm going to wrap up writing this story before the current section of Iron and Steel is finished. All I can say to that now is just expect it done before Iron and Steel is over. This morning I wrote the final piece before the epilogue and after I've finished that I need to turn around and in depth define the start in detail, then make the final draft with corrections.
There is a lot riding on this. The GB trilogy establishes who these guys are which later explains things better where it incorporates into the IG side. Writing these stories has greatly helped character development on them, especially on Jake. So much so I had to re-read what has been written so far for Devil's Blood to discover do I need to re-write how he's portrayed in what was written even before I wrote Silver Light? Fortunately what has been written in formal detail to that story, in that opening with him doesn't reveal much and hence makes it I don't have to re-write the scene. I do know what has now been written for the GB gang has greatly effected original thoughts about their interactions later on into the story with the normally thought of cast.
