Caffeine! Kidding, I know it was major fast forward how you just showed that . I tried to keep up and noticed towards the end you took advantage of the gradient tool? That's a tool I use little of I know I shouldn't ignore because of how useful it can be. PaintStar is to blame for my hesitance on it.

You know what I've been thinking of making a quick video explaining how I use the gradient tool to make my pictures look the way they do. Might do it tomorrow if I get around to it.

Here's the thing. I've been using PaintStar for ages to help along pieces when something like Manga Studio or Painter Essentials fails to do a total job to my liking. While it is a nice program, one of it's problems in it's simplicity is it doesn't work with layers and things like gradient consume the whole page. Because I got introduced to gradient fill through PaintStar .. seven years of using it. I have to learn to use it outside something backwards compatible to Windows '98.

I just noticed you make use of folders for sorting your layer groups. How many layers did that take to make? Also were you using vector layers which is something I don't think I've ever done at least in Manga Studio, Anime Studio yes. Does using vector layers make a difference about how tools act in it?

Actually I think I only went as high as 30 layers which isn't the most layers I've used on art. ^^ And yes I use vector layers a lot, specifically for lineart. The reason is you can change the colors of the lineart later and when you use the vector eraser it makes it very easy to erase mistake lines as it erases the entire or part of the mistake stroke you made. I'm making a tutorial video on it and I will explain it better ^^
