Hello! My name is Ynnep and I am planning to make an Inspector Gadget comic. A cyberpunk-noir! I would like it to become official if I could pitch it or purchase the rights to a singular graphic novel. If anyone knows how I can do that, feel free to help. I've emailed a lot of people but no luck so far. Probably because I sound like some weirdo on the internet. If it is never licensed I will just release it for free into the wild on my own website.
NOW ON TO THE IMPORTANT PART!
The premise of the comic. It is set in the 80's. The 2080's! Still Metro City (1 or 2 depending who you ask) and still stars I'll lovable cyborg, his smart niece and loyal mut. The twist is the style and tone of the comic. It is a cyberpunk-noir, set in a pre-dystopian world. In short, the future! The "New" head Inspector got HQ is on the case to stop MAD and expose the real Doctor Claw once and for all. There are constant themes of duality, trans-humanism and optimism in a slowly deteriorating world.
Here is some concept art and VERY rough notes. (If they work I'm new to this kind of message board.)
Here we got the original concept art for the Gadget Gang in color and black and white.
I have a lot more art. A LOT more but those are mostly on my DA/Twitter/Tumblr. If you are interested just let me know.

If you are interested just let me know.I see you've been quite busy on DA with this and I mean to sit down & give what's posted so far a good read. It has a very manga vibe to it's look. I've been itching to see another fan comic enter the scene that wasn't a short or well, meant for those with twisted minds. Will this be a long running comic? From your description it sounds that way. If you mean for this to be a long running project for example it you think will be over a year in the making. I'll grant you a whole sub-board for it in this place. Speaking from experience here. I had no luck myself trying to get official permission about comic book printing and I even have the correct phone number & email address of who should be talked to at DHX Media. No reply from them and I gave up after a long time of trying. As for how to post your work here or even elsewhere in the forum. Before Photobucket decided to be greedy, I would have said to turn to them. Now I'm going to say post through ImgBB and use their "BBCode full", for presentation.

I want to make it one big omnibus and don't really want to fiddle with printing if it isn't licensed because that is VERY expensive. If it is forever to be a fan comic, I'll put it on my own google site and just run ads to pay for the cost of making it. This is 1000% a passion project. As for the manga style, I want to curb it a bit to look grittier like a classic Judge Dredd style. Of course it will always look a bit manga since that is my natural style. Heck the original show was animated in Japan so it fits. Hey if ya got the email I'll keep trying. Can't hurt. I'm also Tweeting at them a lot. Hmmmm I'll look into that! Thank you.

Welcome, do you want that contact information? Ok, I just got through everything posted so far. Here are my thoughts that weren't posted on DA. You're using Clip Studio aren't you? Some of the effects you use come across to me as tell tale signs of that. Which by the way I think it's great off the bat this isn't easy to see. I've seen a comic creator on ComicFury, flatout use page templates offered in the software, not showing imagination in layout design. Yours is creative but sometimes hard to follow without barriers between panels. It's where you do shading differences which helps me on sequential continuity in presentation. I understand these pages are being reposted from elsewhere on the web and I don't know how you presented them off DA. But beyond basic explanation to the pages existence. Little author notes to the audience would help unless you mean for somethings to be a mystery to the reader until later on. Example "Data Dog" is an invention of yours I hope gets explained even though Brain is explained to a point surrounding that title. Why independent hosting and not take advantage of a free formal site for webcomics? Some hosts are designed to cater to webcomic presentation. ... Er, heads up on ComicRocket. True, that's what they do but it still to me feels like a form of theft.

I use paint tool sai and medibang but plan to get better at the latter first. Also yeah they are hard to read but those are more just cliffsnotes. The finished version will make a lot more sense since that will be using a script. Hmm shall I provide a sample of finished product And you know imma go into the data dog thing. ;p Was mostly just looking to have better control and link it to my Google. Idk about those sites but I'm happily willing to listen. It's just tricky with this bring parody.

From a friend of a friend, now to open viewing ( since I don't know how it got into somewhat hidden public knowledge ): rightsinquires@dhxmedia.com and 1-604-684-2363 --- Smack Jeeves, The Duck, Tapas, Webtoon, ComicFury, Comic Press, and Comic Genesis. I use ComicFury and used to use Comic Genesis. With notes to both hosts I know. Comic Genesis is good if you know how to use an FTP program which it requires. ComicFury is good except it's forum, just awful there for socializing.

Is it better to just post some of the art and links here or have more than one forum post? Don't want to spam.

I'm guessing what you are asking me about is can a specialized topic like this have more than one thread right? About talking in regards to the series you're working on. My rule about threads on topics simply is no duplicate posts promoting something. Like say come visit some specific fan site that while related to the forum, had an earlier topic just the same. In that case of a double post, I'd simply merge the threads together. If you want to have more than one thread talking about your series / talking about different aspects of it, then no objections what so ever. Heck, you've seen what I do. Have a ball Ynnep48, so far I'm not worried at all about what you've posted.
