While on my research a little over a year ago, I found this 2 hour long documentary on youtube about the company who created Inspector Gadget, DiC Entertainment. I find it very interesting on how much this company when though a lot from risk taking throughout the years until they emerged with Cookie Jar in 2008 and into D.H.X. in 2012.
IT'S FINALLY HERE!!! Here's the story about an animation company that was a big risk-taker during the 80s and 90s, churning out licensed programming like hot cakes at IHOP. Produced some of your favorite programming such as Inspector Gadget, The Real Ghostbusters, Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Sonic the Hedgehog, among others. This is my most ambitious project to date since I practically did this one solo. So without further adieu, ENJOY!!!
I have posted this video on one of my posts a few months ago, however I wasn't sure on what category on where to add this documentary on a separate post since he talks a lot about other cartoons that DiC produced throughout the years. but I figured it might be safe to add on here since the IG franchise was one of the main topics in this video.

I don't remember having seen this from you a few months ago. I really think I should state something about this video. It's not the official video documenting the history of DiC Animation. I came across it over a year ago attempting to seek out a different video. On FaceBook in an animation based group I saw people chatting about a cheaply authored official video put to DVD years back like back in '01 or '02 that documented DiC to that point in time. Given how much I research for my work which has in it odds & ends from across various DiC series. I wanted to watch the video for inspiration to writing. Not encountering it for sale anywhere, I thought I found it with this video which is too young to have been what was being talked about. Due to the wealth of criticism the speaker is directing at the company even early on, leads me to this isn't official. Don't take it that I thumb my nose at fan perspective made videos. Not all of them. I just don't like it when the author seems to have nerd-rage they want to use to convince everyone they're right. Heck, a few days ago I watched a piece which documented what happened over the history to Hanna-Barbera. Even though it was a fan creation I knew enough about the company already to know the author wasn't messing with viewers.

Just finished watching this video This reminds me of that time in High School where I’ve did my own oral project about DIC (and failing to pronounce it correctly too).
