What do you think which characters relates to the major arcana cards of the tarot?
Gadget is definitely The Fool card... obviously, he’s the titular hero; the little dog would be Brain nudging him not to go over the cliff; in some schools of thought, this card’s energy is related to Uranus (the planet of technology).
Brain imho could be The Magician card... he uses trickery and deceit with his disguises, so to help Gadget go in the right direction.
Penny is definitely The High Priestess card... as her French name implies, she’s the goddess Sophia of the whole group; come oh, they both have books!
Chief Quimby is somewhat harder to pinpoint, but I would say The Hierophant card... he’s the guide figure to the trio; keeper of the “traditional doctrine” of policing; he also gives the “word of God” about what Dr Claw is up to.

Your timing to this thread is great because speaking with my dad over the phone recently, he was trying to talk me into taking up using tarot cards. If he hands me an ebook on them, I'm sure I can present some ideas to what you're saying using more characters.

This is interesting even though I do not believe in tarot cards (because of personal reasons), but they seem to be accurate on the descriptions here.
