BTW, is that the soundtrack vinyl LP in the back?

Here's another cool and unusual IG items from France. these tiny figurines are called Fèves and they are apart of the French tradition for "Three Kings Day" and "Mardi Gras" which they hide them inside of a "King Cake". I bought 2 sets, one dated in 2001 and other dated in 2011. I just bought an older and different set from 1995 recently, so it'll be here in another 2 weeks.

That one for Dr. Claw surprises me that it was made. However I think really understandable as a full figure if you think about how it would have been artistically interesting to try and do his cartoon portrayal as a Fève.

I've noticed that Gadget has different color coats which he had in the action figure collection.

I'm slowly adding the french comic books into my collection, the illustrations are pretty good since they illustrated from the episodes. the yellow book (Inspecteur Gadget collection N1) has the episode "Monster Lake" (same illustrations from the 1988 annual, but in French ) and the blue book (Inspecteur Gadget Album N1/16) has "No Files on Us" and "Don't Hold Your Breath".

Here are the oldest set of the Fèves (Beans) from 1995.
And I wanted to add a vintage IG Pin from 1989 that I bought from ebay France.... he's so cute! <3
I'm going to replace the spring backing since it's damaged.

Here is another ebay find that I never thought in a million years that would exist, an Inspector Gadget satchel from France! I'm assuming that this was used as a school bag because of its size and the whole thing is made of plastic material. however, its really cute! It's just going to be displayed since it's very fragile because of it's age.

I really wish Photobucket wasn't how it is right now. But otherwise, nice finds. .. Yuh know, I wonder given the release time of a lot of the IG merchandise being as the show was airing in season one. If DiC invested heavily doing the same for other series it suspected would be a hit?

Yuh know, I wonder given the release time of a lot of the IG merchandise being as the show was airing in season one. If DiC invested heavily doing the same for other series it suspected would be a hit? You do have a point since it was aired the same year when the toy craze first started. I do agree with you, it would've been a better hit if it came with a huge collection of toys since it was aimed for both boys and girls. It would've been very interesting if marketing took an advantage of that instead of focusing on the separation of marketing cartoon merchandise between girls and boys.
However, DiC did released a good amount of toys around that time of the first season, but it wasn't a big collection compared to He-Man and that time and also they are very limited where they are pretty rare to find for collectors. Sadly, it seems like DiC was a bit late when it came to the bigger and better collection of action figures since they were released 10 years after and they were on released at the same time with Power Rangers.
While collecting, most of the merchandise that was offered to children overseas where so much bigger than here in the U.S. It makes me wonder if the merchandise was released at the same time as the air date since other country releases were aired 2 to 4 years after the U.S. aired date.
You know, even when I was kid, I wished for a Penny doll thinking that it didn't exist until finding out that made a plush doll of her so many years later. lol! I've noticed that they didn't really make much of Penny merchandise which would've been a hit because a lot of fans are more fond of her... that was another thing that DiC really missed out on.
gowett that's an awesome find you got there! it looks to be a very fun game.
