This is another case of I made a mistake and it burns me to have to throw it away. I did the drawing remembering the basic of what I wrote in script, then read the script and learned it couldn't be used. I'm now considering refining this drawing, give it formal lines, coloring & posting it. My big enthusiasm to draw this one page is I get to draw outside my normal comic style. Show something different than normal comfort zone for what I'm used to doing. An example here is I had to bare in mind more than once when drawing Katy & Darryl, not to use normal body proportions but very cartoony ones.

I look forward to seeing the final page. Too bad this part has to be cut out.

It took from last night until very late into the afternoon just to finish the line art & boarders to page 147. ... I just want to show effort given which I hope shows. Note a little extra line work was done after making this .jpeg because of a mistake I spotted. Not totally related to this post, a question. Am I the only person who thinks DA should refine how it counts watchers for groups? I mean for example a group could have 1,000+ members, but given views, it shows normal signs of only having maybe 2 watchers. Wouldn't it make sense to have a note in place that if a user has not logged in, in say a year, their watch should not be counted with that said group?

( This was meant to be posted the other day, but Photobucket for unknown reasons was offline that day. ) I don't feel like making a new thread for this. This shows poses drawn for sections 29 & 30. 29 stopped short in getting it's art done in advance because I was using my Surface to do the job and shortly into the work, the stylist stopped working and had to be replaced. For 30 I knew what I wanted to draw but strayed from what was done in advance. Little of that prep work has been used and nothing to come. Some art is not shown here because in basic lines it's a little confusing to look at. For example Prof. Venom hushing the poor clerk when he's first shown in 29. Also I use red as my first basic color when distinguishing notations in a drawing.

I remember months back Copter's comment of what he envisioned for the interior for HAPPY looking different and I replied about areas of it which meant different looks. Before this is shrunk down on page 154, I'm like to show a different area inside HAPPY's HQ: Something not clear here really is part of the ceiling is either meant to be thick glass or plastic, so people can see below to the next floor.

This was worked on as much as I could today which is frankly normal for how I do any art. Just this basic rough work took the day! ... Panel four bothers me to that fact. You guys know I draw everything large and then scale it down. Well guess what was the most time consuming to that panel which likely won't show it's self well in the end? PS: For the moment PhotoBucket seems to be working so I'm going to try and code in more emotes to this place.

I want to show this before it's resized & refined. Also in case you are wondering what John is up to, he just got handed back the belt to his trench coat and he's tying it back in place.

Since it's taken me three days to get this far, I thought I'd share the progress on the page. The only work you don't see is the text. It's rare I put text on a page early on but in the case of the last few pages it's felt necessary. That matter is done so I know it won't cause much interference when the images are fully drawn in. Oh, and the reason the second to last panel is fully colored in is because I took it for an artistic challenge. That image is solely what is in Dr. Hunter's head which he's trying to convey. I wanted it to not look like the normal art style used.

The whole panel is visually complex which forces me to do everything on large scale before shrinking it down some. A scene in Riverton, Ohio. Second time I've drawn Gizmo, first of two different AUs cameoing in the Iron and Steelverse. What has been done but is currently an invisible layer, is a building behind her which took I think five layers to make it's base texture.

Your welcome can't wait to see the complete pages. Your IG AU only appears for this one page. Although Spectrum is still going to whimper about that accidental crossover later in the story. ... Today has flicked between this work and I think it's an easy guess why the smell of vinegar all purpose cleaner is stuck with me right now , and back to this. Just thought I'd show panel rough work before clean up. Yes, I know Penny and Hunter are missing their hair. About half the time I don't draw hair until formal lines are being worked on. An always exception to this is when a character is wearing a hat. That forces full head details drawn in rough.
