I Googled it after you brought it up. Not my normal taste but I doubt in any sense boring, so I'll give it a go. Netflix doesn't list it available for some reason.

To be honest with you, it's definitely not for everyone that one. It's more for people who enjoy the old 80's type of action movie. More of a 'lad's lad' sort of film.
I'll just be glad to get back in front of a camera, but it's not looking likely for the forseeable future, so I'm putting feelers out for more VA work. Darn this virus!

I recently ordered in some missed items ready for Jul. (Yule) I'm so happy with these and I can't wait to eat them in December!
Anna's Pepparkakor - Amazing ginger biscuits. I hate ginger, but these are amazing. - Renkorv Bokspånsrökt - Tasty reindeer salami sausage. Me and the Mister are rather partial.
- Julmust - A must have for Jul! I can taste it already. 😭💙
- Ekströms Nyponsoppa - A rosehip drink that is great warmed up during winter. Its packed with vitamins.
- Karl Fazer Chokladpraliner - These are some of our favourite chocolates.
The last time we got to eat any we were in the hills at night near Saariselka enjoying a horse sleigh ride before heading home. Greatly missed these! - ABBA Earl Grey Citrus & Honung - We haven't tried these, so it'll be
fun to see what they are like. We adore Herring and Earl Grey, so fingers crossed they are as good as they sound! - Gudbrandsdalen Brunost - The Mister absolutely lovee this stuff, so
I had to get some in. 😉 Brown cheese made from a mix of cows cream and goats milk.
- Haribo Piratos Salty Licorice Coins - For the Mister who absolutely loves salted licorice and all things Salmiak.
- Blå Band Gräddsås - The best cream sauce to go with meatballs ever!

Thank you for saying what the foods were otherwise well at least I wouldn't have known. The Renkorv Bokspånsrökt and Gudbrandsdalen Brunost are foods I think I'd buy if I could find them. The first just because the taste idea sounds intriguing to try. The second because I'm a sucker for goat cheese, so goat & cow mixed together sounds good. I don't know what store stock differences exist between England and Wales. I do know when I got back home after that vacation, I tried placing some orders online for some goodies I got introduced to. No international shipping offered.

Goats cheese is so good! So many people hate it, but it's one of the better cheeses out there in my opinion. The Mister is very fond of the Brunost. Our friend who lives in Norway used to bring it to him when she visited.
As for the reindeer sausage, it's actually a salami style sausage. It's soemthing we both enjoy. Brought some home from our last visit to Finland along with some bear sausage to. Reindeer is actually one of my favourite meats. Taste-wise, think a mix of beef, lamb and venison combined.)
Shipping can be a bit tricky. So frustrating for my friends who live in the US if I mention soemthing and they want to try it. I'm just glad this store imports the items at a reasonable cost as opposed to some places. (Example: The box of Karl Fazer chocolates are £6.99 ($7-ish) from this shop, whereas if you were to buy them on Amazon, or other sites you are looking at £20+ ($24+) a box.

I haven't encountered anyone saying they hate it, but then again I've never asked for others' opinions on goat cheese. For me the stronger the favor of the cheese, the better and goat cheese has a wonderful uniqueness to that effect. Brunost sounds like something I might find in a Whole Foods store. Maybe the next time I'm in one of those stores if I'm lucky they'll give a sample.
That sounds like I would try it solo before pairing it to a food that would be complimentary to it's favor.
Ah bummer on cost but it's nice to know it's possible. I'm curious about what online store you're talking about but given how poor I am it would have to be a very special occasion to justify cost. I think it speaks mountains yesterday when I learned of the DD being offical. I grabbed from my freezer a piece of salmon that came from a food bank. I saved the fish for something special. There is no way I could have bought it from a store.

There is no way I could have bought it from a store. Sadly, here in the UK goats cheese is rather like Marmite. You love it, or you hate it. And a huge percentage hate it. I grew up visiting places such as Greece where it's a common thing, so I'm a fan of it, but it's considered too strong a flavour for most here.
Brunost is difficult to obtain here, as it's usually only imported since it's a Norwegian thing. In the past we had to rely on the Mister's friend to bring it over. It's impossible to get locally and Amazon charges a small fortune for it, so jackpot for this particular site I found. Haha. Good luck, I hope you find some to try!
The site is called Scandikitchen. I'm not sure if they ship to the US or not, but I suppose it's worth an ask. Maybe they also might know of a way you could get things sent over, as the owners are super friendly and helpful.
Ooo yay! I hope you enjoyed it!
I always find it interesting how different food are so vastly different in cost depending on location. Salmon is an average thing here and eaten frequently, whereas certain cuts of beef are stupidly expensive. Duck also costs a fair amount of money, as does venison.

Who's the guy friend of yours?
Second, it was good fish. When the foodbank had given it to me, they had given two servings. One was eaten the same day I got it. I didn't get sick from the meal but I do wonder if that time I cooked it enough. The serving I ate the other day came out perfect.

That's my husband. These shots are so horribly old. He has beardage nowadays and I'm a lot less ill haha.

Oooo two servings! Nice! I wouldn't be too concerned about cooking it too thoroughly, as long as the temperature is high enough to kill the bacteria. I'm sure it was absolutely fine if you've had no effects up to now.

A nice, warming Fiskisúpa for food tonight. (With a few non-traditional ingredients, but it's to my taste, so shh! 😂)
1 hours prep and cook time.
- Smoked haddock
- Icelandic cod
- Salmon
- Dill
- Salt
- Pepper
- Onions
- Leeks
- Potatoes
- Carrot
- Tomato puree
- Chopped tomatoes
- Port wine (Sherry works too!)
- Stock (Supposed to be vegetable stock, but I ate all mine so I used chicken stock)
- Cream
- Water
- Butter
Chop and cook onions and leeks in butter in a large pan. Once softened nicely, deglaze the pan with some port/sherry (Depending on which you are using) and add stock, tomato puree, herbs, salt and pepper and top with water. Bring to the boil and add your potatoes and carrtots and let simmer until softened a little, but not all the way. Add chopped tomatoes and simmer down a little until veg is completely cooked. Add fish and gently simmer. Add the cream right at the end, stirr and simmer very gently so you avoid it splitting.
Serve with crusty buttered bread and an Akvavit made from dill, anise, or angelica. Salmiakki, ouzo and pernod work fine.

That sounds good but for me it would take winning the lottery to make. One type of fish for me is rare to get ahold of outside tins of tuna. Three .. I can only wish.

Double cream. I think it's known as 'Heavy cream' over there right?
Though, I use a lactose free one because the Mister is on the FODMAP diet for his stomach problems.
