There's actually no real difference in flavour besides the sweetness, so it's all good. I'm so used to cooking lactose and gluten free these days I'm very used to the flavours and differing textures though. Maybe it does and I've gone tongue blind. 😂

lol! sadly I'm not much of a cook, but it is a good idea to cook with them types of foods since it's good for you. I'm also lactose intolerant myself and it's rough to find the right food products that doesn't have so much milk in it. Sometimes I just avoid on putting way too much milk products in a meal that I make or skip it all together. mostly the meals that I make has cheese which everybody loves in my house... *sigh*

Alas, I'm a massive cheese lover. Especially the smelly French unpasteurized cheeses. Haha. I treat myself to one every now and then, but not often or else my gut tells me off because I'm not used to it anymore.
Thankfully we have access to cheap and decent lactose free cheese. It genuinely tastes no different to the real thing, so win-win really.
Gluten free, on the other hand, big oof. It's difficult to get good bread that isn't like eating a bowl of sand without making it yourself.

So a few weeks ago I looked down to discover that my Blue John engagement ring was broken. There was a huge chunk clean out of it. I was absolutely heartbroken, as the stone is very special. The Mister got it because the stone is mined in my home county and he told me he got it so I always had a piece of home with me wherever I go. So for it to break had me very upset. (Especially as it's also expensive.) (Click for full view)
I had a few messages on social media from fans and a few friends who actually offered to fix it and/or replace the stone for me, which was super kind, but it was my stone. You know? I can't explain it very well. It is something that has been with me for years and was the one the Mister picked out for me and a replacement stone wouldn't feel as special, despite how kind and generous the offers were. Well, little did I know that the Mister decided to take advantage of the sales and ordered me a replacement.

He chose an imperial Garnet. Garnet is my birthstone, but Imperial Garnet (AKA Ceylon Imperial Garnet) is very different to the usual deep reds of the usual well-known stone. It's more of a orangish-yellow with honey-peach tones to it, which is stunning.
Amusingly, after posting images of these, I lost about 20+ people from Facebook and garnered some confused/angry reactions. I guess people don't read the relationship status sections on profiles very often. HAHA!

I can't picture why people would give an adverse reaction like that to your husband doing you a very kind favor. Seems shallow what they did. Although that was very sweet of him to get you that replacement ring. I've never heard of Imperial Garnet before. Just having never heard of the stone before makes me curious about it's abilities if any ( grabs out Scott Cunningham's stone & crystal encyclopedia ). Recently I was able to reclaim a lost ring in a sense, so I understand the attachment one can feel about a little object like that. But I'm sure with yours being a present from your hubbie in both cases, your old and new rings have much more emotional meaning.

Awe! that is a shame that your stone was broken, but it's very sweet that your husband picked out another stone for you. I don't see why anybody on Facebook would be upset over that? That's a very sweet thing a husband would do for his beloved wife.

Sadly some people don't seem to read the marital status part of profiles and a lot apparently got butthurt. Haha! It's no loss, though... If they get testy over a ring, they wouldn't be able to handle some of my other posts.
Oh, as for meaning, it is similar in nature to Spessartine if that helps. Creativity, balance, healing, enhances analytical processes and the rational mind, etc. Great for balancing the Sacral Chakra too. Amusingly, very fitting for me haha.

AAAAND I'm sorta back. I had a bit of a rough patch. Had a meltdown over Christmas that lasted a fair amount of time. I've been trying to claw (No pun intended) my way back to normality as best as I can, so I've been gradually catching up with sites bit by bit. So HUGE apologies that I've been absent.
---
What's new? Well, I suppose not really that much. Me and the Mister are still waiting on getting the Covid jabs, despite me having health issues which would technically make me vulnerable, but hey-ho. I can be patient.
I also received my belated birthday gift a few days ago. The Mister preordered it for me at the tail end of last year, but it didn't arrive in this country until recently. The Inspector Gadget MEGAHERO Deluxe Figure Set. It is STUNNING! I may or may not have had a nerdgasm as I unboxed it. The detail on the figures are just brilliant.
What else, what else... Hmmm. Well, honestly not that much. Work is still on hold until things start to clear up more here. We only just got out of our second lockdown, so no sign of any new film or voice work yet. I wouldn't want to risk it anyway. So remote illustration work is the only thing I can do at the moment haha.

Thanks for popping in with news on how things are going for you. I had to Google that figure set you mentioned. Now I know where the Inspector Gadget figure comes from I once saw a photo of on DA. You lucky lady! The moment the CDC started loosening up, suddenly all adults qualified for shot signup. Is the waitlist over there being picky? Because bummer if so. With health issues, I can picture the glaring wait you must be having with the system even being patient about it. I can't offer money given how poor I am. But if you feel bored and wanted to take a stab at one of my stories for audiobook translation, you're welcome to it. Last summer a long time online friend of mine, oddly enough in your neck of the woods. He offered to do a reading and I think he eventually forgot about it. I can offer art requests as payment if you'd like to do this?

Right now it's at 40 to 45 I think. But people who are my age are receiving vaccinations due to underlying health conditions. The problem for me is that I have health problems, but because I'm still waiting on official diagnosis to be added to my records (My docs have a habit of not writing things down when they diagnose things quite often, which is irritating), it means that I'm not eligible. I'm in the process of updating my sound set up, but if you have no problems with me using my old mics (They're a bit beat up now after the years of use), I don't see why not. It's been a while since I did any vocal work since I've been focusing on movies these days. If you wouldn't mind me adding the work to my professional portfolio. It's always good to have updated work to send to casting.

I was recently approached by The Guardian to do a piece on my Aquagenic Urticaria. I had not done anything for around 2 years, due to having threats made against me for trying to raise awareness, as well as having an individual attempt to pretend to be me (As well as other sufferers) in order to try and scam money. I decided that I had waited long enough. I still want to raise awareness of this medical condition, as it is still relatively unknown and hard to manage. One day I'm hoping that more research is done so that sufferers have medication to help treat it. www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2021/may/14/experience-im-allergic-to-water

I just read it. Ow ow ow, you poor lady, I just want to give you a hug right now. I'd never heard of that condition before reading the article and I have to say it really rides me to know people in your boat aren't normally believed when talking about it. Not the same problem you're facing but I too know what it's like to get non-understanding about medical condition. I have three overlapping auditory problems on the rare side, people tend not to believe me about having. Is there an awareness badge I could post with my FB page to help spread the word for people with aquagenic urticaria? That explains you asking about editing software the other day, in wanting to update what you have. I don't have a problem with you using your old mics. When I clean the audio Mr. Wilhelm sends me, it's removing clicks and long pauses. I'm sure your setup will work. How much do you feel up for tackling? With Wilhelm nearly done sending me the recorded files for Devil's Blood. Knowing soon I will have wrapped up writing "essentially a three part" story series started early last year. I'd consider you for voicing the trilogy if you wanted to take it on. I'll draw anything you want but um stuff outside comfort zone, I'd share through PM, not in open gallery. I haven't forgotten what I said sometime ago about incorporating Data and Scooter - Scotia & Datyah into my series. They won't be appearing the next time Sydney appears in Loaded Stone, but the time following that when she comes up again. Setup starts to really occur on pages 135 & 136 for this later appearance even if when those pages are presented. I'm sure at the time you'll be scratching your head about my writing of WTF to story direction.

When you click to add a frame, search Aquagenic Urticaria Awareness. Probably best for me to record a short sample so you can get an idea of how my old set up is performing and then you can decide from there if you still want to go ahead/it's doable. At the moment I don't have much on in the way of voice work, it's mostly art, so I have some free time. It might be better to hit me up on FB of in my Discord for easier conversation. discord.gg/FyDMxq7 (If anyone else wants to join, feel free as well.)

I just altered my FB profile with the awareness frame.
If you'd like, I understand. I have to say at least dealing with talent on Voice123, I rarely hear a bad audition. It just normally boils down to a voice I think works for a story reading.
I didn't ask for this to happen but it has. Elsewhere a person at essentially the prompt of another. She decided she wants to do voice work for these audios. I mentioned in reply how another I knew had said she might come forward for this too. What do you think about voicing the first of the Gadget-Boy stories, From Darkness to Silver Light? It's the shortest of them and I've been wanting it re-voiced for a while. I perfectly understand the audiobook criticism it's received.
Thanks but I've never been big on Discord, I prefer Skype vocal. That lets me work in the background while talking.

I have absolutely no problem try any of them. Feel free to send me over some sample text and I can give it a go and see if you think my voice fits OK. I generally do written work in received pronunciation rather than accented, etc like with character work. If you wanted me to attempt accents for the characters, I can. However, that would depend on what it is you are looking for accent-wise. Sadly, I don't use Skype, as I found it to be incredibly buggy compared to Discord and other services. However, I use Facebook a lot, so feel free to use that if need be. My professional vocal profile is as follows... Accents: Received pronunciation, UK Regional (Derbyshire), Icelandic, Regional USA (Southern Drawl). Age Range: 18-40 Tone: Light-mid, loud. Traits: Posh, Tsundere, demure, femme fatale, robots, villain, girl next door, peppy, young, teen, young adult, adult, playful, motherly, High Society.
